Missing Elderly Pennsylvania Man Found Safe In Southampton: Police
In the happiest of endings, the man, 80, will be reunited with his family soon and is now safe, police say.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — An elderly man missing from Pennsylvania was found safe in Southampton Wednesday, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, a 911 call came in from a concerned resident at 12:30 p.m. reporting that a man, who "was lost and appeared confused", could be in need of a welfare check.
An officer responded to the Mobil gas station on County Road 39 and found Henry Garmen, 80, of New Holland, PA, police said.

Garmen said he'd been driving for a day and hadn't had anything to eat since the day before, police said. He appeared "confused" and the officer requested that Southampton Village Volunteer Ambulance respond to check on Garmen, police said.
The officer conducted a name search and learned that Garmen had been reported missing by his family on Tuesday, police said.

Southampton Town Police contacted Garmen’s family and the New Holland Police Department to tell them that he was safe and was being transported to the hospital for observation, police said.
"Mr. Garmen will be reunited with his family in a matter of hours and is now safe," police said.
