Mom Charged With DWI Had Her 2 Kids In Car On Halloween: Police
She was charged with violating Leandra's Law after driving while intoxicated with her 2 children in the car on Halloween, police say.
SAG HARBOR, NY — A Sag Harbor woman was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated with her two children in the vehicle on Halloween, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, Jessica J. Disbrow, 28, was arrested on Sunday at 4:54 p.m. after she was seen heading south on Denise Street in Sag Harbor "at an unreasonable and imprudent rate of speed" and failing to signal left, twice.
She was found to be intoxicated with her two children, both under 16, in the vehicle and was arrested and charged with DWI, Leandra's Law, a felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor, as well as issued summonses for traffic violations, police said.

Leandra's Law is legislation in New York that makes it an automatic felony on the first offense to drive while intoxicated with a person age 15 or younger inside the vehicle.
Disbrow was processed and held for morning arraignment, police said.
