Motorcyclist Dies After Southampton Crash: Police
The motorcyclist was traveling "at a high rate of speed," police say.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — An East Hampton man died after his motorcycle crashed into a vehicle on County Road 39 in Southampton Thursday night, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, the crash took place at 7:27 p.m. at the intersection of County Road 39 and Greenfield Road.
A 2016 Suzuki motorcycle driven by Allan Alvarez, 21, of East Hampton, was traveling "at a high rate of speed" at the time of the crash with a 2015 Ford Fusion drvien by Milos Djurasic, 22, of Southampton, police said.

Alvarez was not breathing; officers immediately began CPR, police said. He was transported to Stony Brook Southampton Hospital, where he later died, police said.
Djurasic was uninjured; no criminal charges were filed against Djurasic, police said.

A 2011 BMW driven by Laurie Gianelli, 52, of Smithtown, was involved when debris from the accident struck her vehicle, as she was traveling west on County Road 39, police said.
