Motorist Appeared To Be Unconscious In Running Vehicle Parked In Hamptons Roadway: Police
He was charged with DWI, police say.
SOUTHAMPTON, NY — A motorist who appeared to be unconscious behind the wheel of a running vehicle parked in a Southampton roadway was arrested Friday night, police said.
According to Southampton Town police, the incident took place at about 11:18 p.m.; an officer responded to Hampton Street near County Road 39 in Southampton and saw the man asleep behind the wheel of the running vehicle, police said.
A subsequent traffic stop investigation revealed that the driver, Mateo Sebastian Neira-Bueno, 20, of East Hampton, New York, was operating the motor vehicle while intoxicated, police said.

Neira-Bueno was arrested and transported to Southampton Town Police Headquarters for processing; he was charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated and other vehicle and traffic law violations, police said.
Neira-Bueno was held overnight and was scheduled to appear in Southampton Town Justice Court for morning arraignment, police said.
