New Land Rover Stolen From Locked Hamptons Garage: Police
A Land Rover worth more than $50K and 2 TVs were taken from the residents' home in Tuckahoe, police say.
TUCKAHOE, NY — A new Land Rover Defender and two television were stolen from a couple's home in Tuckahoe recently, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, a call came in on Friday at 9:26 p.m. about a prior burglary at the home. The man said his new Land Rover Defender, with a value exceeding $50,000, as well as two television sets, had been stolen, police said.
The homeowner took an Uber ride home and found his front door and garage doors open. The front window was also broken, police said.

Inside, he noticed two televisions were missing, one downstairs and one from an upstairs bedroom, police said. When he looked in the garage, he saw that the Land Rover was also missing, police said.
The homeowner said his wife was out Dec. 2 and picked up the vehicle from the Land Rover dealer in Southampton on Dec. 3; when she left the house Dec. 5, she locked the car in the secured garage and left the keys in a bowl in the dining room, locking the house as she left, police said.
