New 'Mobile Children's Party' Business Big Success in Southampton
Mirror Mirror On The Wall, which hosts children's birthday parties, has been big success in Southampton since it launched in August.

Gina DeMaio, a Deer Park resident, was left feeling empty after her daughter’s birthday party a few years ago. She felt it lacked a personal touch.
That’s why in August, DeMaio, who is also a hairdresser and has worked in the beauty industry for over 20 years, launched her company, Mirror Mirror On The Wall, which provides “children’s glamour spa parties” right at a person’s home, all across on Long Island.
The packages range from ”Princess Dress Up Party” which provides the guests princess dresses and treats them to manicures, makeup and more, to “Glamourazzi Photo Shoot Party” which provides costumes and gives guests their own personal photo shoot. The parties range in price from $475 to $575.

So far, through leaving brochures in stores and word of mouth, DeMaio and her crew have hosted five parties, and have three more booked for the upcoming months.
While the company has booked parties all across Long Island, including Greenlawn, Deer Park and Franklin Square, Southampton has been the most popular spot for the company, booking three parties in the area.

DeMaio, who has family in the area, says the success in Southampton is due in part to the higher end presentations of the parties she throws.
“In the Hamptons, people expect a certain level of quality,” she said. “Every party has to be perfect or it doesn’t sit right with me.”
Mirror Mirror On The Wall provides five different party packages, which can be customized to suit the needs of the family. The company travel to a person’s home to throw the desired party for girls anywhere from ages 3 to 16, providing everything except the food.
“What makes my business stand out is that I put my heart and soul into it,” DeMaio said. “I put my own personal touch on everything and everyone seems to receive it well.”
DeMaio hopes in the future to have a storefront and expand the team, which currently has 10 employees.
