UPDATE: Bridgehampton Kmart Not on Initial Closings List

CNN Money reports bad holiday sales may force Sears Holdings to close up to 120 stores.

Poor holiday sales may lead to the closure of between 100 and 120 Sears and Kmart stores, according to a report published Tuesday by CNN Money.

No decision has been made yet regarding which stores will close; Sears Holdings has a store at the Bridgehampton Commons.

Sears Holdings said it is based on a 6 percent drop in sales at domestic Sears locations and a 4.4 percent slide in sales at Kmart.

Employees at Bridgehampton Kmart, when contacted by Patch Friday, said they were not free to comment.

According to usatoday.com, the Bridgehampton store is not on a list released Thursday of 80 Kmarts designated for closure.
