Owners of Bridgehampton's Almond To Launch New Bar, Zigmund's Soon
The bar will be inspired by the popular 90s spot, The Wild Rose and will open on July 25.
BRIDGEHAMPTON, NY - Fans of Almond in Bridgehampton will soon have a new spot to enjoy cocktails that features a focus on artisanal, seasonal and local offerings.
Eric Lemonides and Jason Weiner, owners of Almond, will launch Zigmund’s, to be located at 203 Bridgehampton Sag Harbor Turnpike, slated to open on July 25.
Zigmund’s, named again for Weiner’s wife Almond Zigmund, will be a bar inspired by the location’s popular bar in the 90s called the Wild Rose, the owners said.

“The Wild Rose was a great bar with food, drinks, awesome music and even a karaoke night. This is the vibe we are going for at Zigmund’s,” Lemonides said.
The space offers "a rustic vibe with exposed steel beams supporting reclaimed wood walls, which surround from floor to ceiling. Comfortable black booths with small throw pillows line a window-spotted wall, while wooden bar tables fill the rest of the space," a release said.

“Artisanal, Seasonal & Local” is the Almond tagline, and applies to the new venture.
Cocktails will be the main attraction, with a menu created by barman Justin August Fairweather.
The focus of the cocktail program will center on incorporating ingredients from the on-site garden in front of the building, a release said.
The garden will be curated and maintained by Amagansett's Amber Waves Farm.
Seven cocktails will be featured on tap house, batched with fresh herbs.
A signature drink, the vodka soda, will be housemade with lemon verbena vodka, lemon balm and citrus zest marinated for 24 hours and batched for the tap.
Another spin on a classic is the Aperol twist featuring Channing Daughters Rosé, Aperol and hibiscus water also served on tap.
In addition, Zigmund’s will offer a “Bespoke” menu featuring housemade shrubs from fresh local fruits, vegetables and herbs. The shrubs can be paired with spirit of choice, topped off with soda resulting in a delicious summer cooler.
A small but tasty bar menu will feature Weiner’s take on Greek inspired dishes such as grilled octopus, grilled lamb chops, eggplant dip, grilled feta, olives and tomatoes, lentil and garlic spread, spinach and garlic, fried fish with French fries, dill & lemon, and fries.
Each night at Zigmund’s will spotlight a different theme.
The week will kick off with Industry/Locals Night sponsored by El Jimador and Jack Daniels on Monday with $5 well drinks, wine, draft beer and $5 snacks featuring a mix of tunes from pop and the 80s to hip hop.
Street teams will be seen handing out bracelets to locals and industry workers for entry on Monday nights.
Meanwhile, Wednesday night will be karaoke night for those looking to hit the mic from 9 p.m. to midnight.
Thirsty Thursday will feature $20 pitchers and $5 shots alongside bluegrass, blues and jazz.
The weekend kicks off with top 40 tunes and late night disco on Fridays followed by the Saturday Night Special with a disco DJ and "Soul Train" projected on to the ceiling.
