Patriots and Partisans: Southampton and the Birth of the American Republic

John Staudt, who wrote his doctoral dissertation on the American Revolution on Long Island, will discuss how the Revolution converted colonial society into a modern republic. He will focus on the pain and suffering endured by residents of Southampton and the region during the conflict that gave birth to our nation. His talk will be followed by a curatorial tour of the museum's current exhibit, "Southampton Under Siege."
