Police ID Woman, 29, Killed In Water Mill Crash
She was running when she was struck, police say.
WATER MILL, NY — Police have identified the pedestrian who died in a Water Mill crash Friday as Stefanie Rock, 29, of New York City, police said.
According to Southampton Town police, a 911 call came in at 8:35 a.m. about a crash on Deerfield Road.
The caller reported that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle, police said.

Southampton Town police patrol officers, the Southampton Fire Department, Southampton Volunteer Ambulance and Southampton Town police detectives responded to the scene, authorities said.
Rock was running northbound and was struck by a 4-door sedan that was traveling southbound on Deerfield Road, police said.

She was pronounced deceased at the scene, police said.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene, was cooperative, and was ultimately transported to Stony Brook Southampton Hospital for evaluation; no charges were filed, police said.
