Pedestrian Struck In East Quogue Hit-And-Run: Police

The pedestrian was airlifted after the crash, police say.

EAST QUOGUE, NY — A pedestrian was struck in a hit-and-run crash in East Quogue Sunday night, police said.

According to Southampton Town police, at about 8:12 p.m., a 911 call came in about a vehicle striking a pedestrian on Lewis Road near County Route 104 in East Quogue and leaving the scene.

Southampton Town police patrol officers, detectives and East Quogue EMS responded to the scene, police said.

The pedestrian was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital via a Suffolk County Police Department helicopter for treatment of injuries sustained in the incident, police said.
