It has been the dream of Southampton's Willi Salm for many years, to hold a private luncheon at Halsey House at 249 South Main Street. On Tuesday, her dream came true, as 11 guests joined her in what is believed to be the oldest English-style house in New York State.

Halsey House was built in 1660 by Thomas Halsey, who bought the property from the Shinnecock Indians in 1640.
