Police: Bridgehampton Man Arrested for Stealing Over $1,000 From 7-Eleven Store

Police arrested the man on Friday Sept. 5 at the 7-Eleven parking lot.

Sag Harbor Village Police arrested Bernard Cooks, 33, of Bridgehampton on Friday Sept. 5 at 2:42 p.m. for grand larceny in the fourth degree, police said.

Cooks was accused of stealing over $1,000 while working at the cash register at a local 7-Eleven store before police tracked him down and arrested him Friday.

Police transported Cooks to the local police headquarters before he was arraigned at Sag Harbor Village Justice Court. He was then sent to the Suffolk County Jail in Riverhead, police said.
