Police: Man Arrested After Driving Boat While Drunk in Peconic Bay
The man was escorted by the Coast Guard to the Shinnecock Canal Town Docks where he was arrested, police say.
A New York City man was arrested for driving a boat while drunk in the Peconic Bay on Saturday morning, according to Southampton Town Police.
Bradley W. Helies, 41, was arrested on Saturday at 8:32 a.m. after he was seen by the Shinnecock Coast Guard Patrol driving a 17 foot Boston Whaler while drunk, police said.
The US Coast Guard escorted Helies to the Shinnecock Canal Town Docks, where they were assisted by Southampton Town Bay Constables and Southampton Town Police personal with the arrest processing, police said.

He was held for morning arraignment at Southampton Town Justice Court.
