Police: Woman Charged With DWI After Leaving the Scene of Accident

The woman was found driving the damaged car, police say.

A Noyac woman was arrested on a DWI charge after she left the scene of a car accident on Saturday evening, according to Southampton Town Police.

Shajalis Jenkins, 27, was involved in an accident and left the scene without reporting at about 6:30 p.m., Saturday, police said.

Officer found her driving her damaged car, police said.

She was found to be intoxicated and arrested for DWI, according to police.

Jenkins was also charged with leaving the scene of an accident and multiple traffic violations, according to police.

She was transported to Southampton Hospital where she was released for arraignment at a further date.
