Popular Hampton Designer Showhouse Generates $150K For Hospital

The donation brings the grand total raised for Stony Brook Southampton Hospital to nearly $2 million over 17 years, officials say.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — It was a win win for the community: The 2017 Hampton Designer Showhouse, enjoyed by scores of guests, also generated $150,000 for Stony Brook Southampton Hospital this year.

That number brought the organization’s grand total of donations to the hospital to nearly $2 million since its inception 17 years ago, Stony Brook Southampton Hospital said in a release.

This year’s Showhouse took place July 23 to September 4 and featured 2 homes, located at 78 and 82 Rosko Lane, collectively known as The Fields, in Southampton, hospital officials said.

On Monday, Hampton Designer Showhouse, Inc. board member Brian Brady, also president of Brady Design, presented a check to Stony Brook Southampton Hospital Chief Administrative Officer Robert S. Chaloner and Southampton Hospital Foundation President Steven Bernstein.

“We’re extremely grateful for the Hampton Designer Showhouse’s ongoing philanthropy, which is vital for supporting our programs and services,” Chaloner said. “The hospital is very lucky to be the beneficiary of this wonderful annual event, and we’re excited to see what will be showcased next year.”
