Poxabogue: Tuning Up My Golf Swing with Haining!

Every now and then you need to hit some golf balls, so why not hit them correctly?

It's springtime and although it has been a wet spring I have been able to tune up my golf swing by addressing it directly via the expertise of a fine young local Poxabogue PGA apprentice golf instructor named John Michael Haining. His easy to understand informal yet stern method of talking me through what my golf swing was and what it will become has been refreshing because he has a very understandable way of teaching.

Now through the years (and I am 63 and I took up golf at 12) I have seen a few golf pros. Some old school, some quite frankly, LOL, no school. The point I am making is that right on the Southampton - East Hampton Town line is Poxabogue and it is a sweet resource to take advantage of. Even it is to practice putting, use the driving range, or playing on its short but fun and well maintained 9 hole course.

So even if you play every few years, or less, why not stop by and let some balls fly at the golf range? And if you feel like tuning up the swing, take a lesson or two — then perhaps head out and play a few holes. There really is nothing like smelling that freshly cut grass, and hearing that click of a well-struck ball. Oh and “Danny’s” Fairway luncheonette has been serving amazingly great breakfast/lunch specials for over 25 years.
