
Join us in examining historical issues related to the experiences of families of African lineage who have emerged out of the overlapping contexts, and offer the best route to researching African American families across time and space. Due to the nature and structure of the African American family, and the obstacles it has faced in record keeping often limits what can be found through databases as we get to eighteenth and nineteenth centuries family research. Therefore, to unearth clues, we will investigate how best to search for ancestors of those time periods as well as the historical content surrounding life during that time.
