Residents Displaced After Fire During Sunday's Heavy Snowstorm: Southampton Officials
No injuries were reported but residents were displaced during the heavy snowstorm, officials say.

NOYACK, NY — Residents were displaced after a house fire that broke out in Noyack during Sunday's major snowstorm and frigid temperatures, officials said.
According to Ryan Murphy, Southampton Town code compliance and emergency management administrator, the fire broke out at around 3:15 p.m. on Noyac Avenue.
"There were no injuries, thankfully, but there were some displaced residents due to the fire — and power and heat issues in the dwelling, due to the incident," Murphy said.

The Sag Harbor Fire Department was the primary fire department at the scene, with assistance from the North Sea and East Hampton Fire Departments, he said.
"The town highway department, without even needing to be asked, sent three pieces of equipment to help move snow and make sure responders could get there. The highway department has been doing a stellar job of monitoring emergency calls and making sure they are ready to help, if needed," Murphy said.
