Ribbon Cut on Delmonico’s of Southampton

Renowned restaurant opens a new location in Southampton Village.

Famed New York City restaurant Delmonico’s celebrated the opening of its first Hamptons location on Saturday, with a ribbon cutting ceremony including the Southampton Village mayor and the African American Museum of the East End.

Named Delmonico’s of Southampton Est. 1837, the new restaurant is located at  268 Elm Street, which was formerly Savanna's.

Delmonico’s prides itself on being the birthplace of baked Alaska and the Delmonico Steak, and lays claim to eggs Benedict as well. Crab cake eggs Benedict and baked Alaska ice cream cones were served during the grand opening festivities, which included antique cars and a lemonade stand.

Delmonico’s presented a check for $4,455 to the African American Museum of the East End. AAMEE co-founder Brenda Simmons and Mayor Mark Epley helped Delmonico’s director of operations Nicolas Geeraerts, owner and managing partner Dennis Turcinovic and executive chef Billy Oliva to cut the ribbon.
