SAG HARBOR, NY — Friends and family beamed with pride as members of Class of 2017 received their high school diplomas at Pierson High School’s annual commencement ceremony held on Saturday.
The ceremony included remarks from several speakers, including CNN’s Don Lemon. Valedictorian Eve Bishop and salutatorian Ella Parker also took to the microphone to share memories from their time in the district and to wish their classmates a future filled with success and happiness.
In addition to receiving their diplomas, students were also awarded local scholarships, totaling more than $100,000.
