Sag Harbor Elementary School Students Start Coat Drive
The girls will be presenting the drive today during the school's morning program.

Sag Harbor Elementary School students, Marina, 10, and Nola, 8, thought up the idea for “Kids Need Warmth”, a coat drive to give outgrown coats and jackets to kids who need them.
The campaign will kick off today during the school’s morning program.

The coat drive will run for two weeks and will benefit The Retreat, which provides domestic abuse services across Long Island.
According to the girls’ mother, Diane Ghioto-Hollyer, the school’s principal, Matt Malone thought it was a great opportunity for the children to give to other kids in a way that is personal and special.

The family hopes that “Buddy”, the ‘monster’ which will be collecting the coats, will be making an annual appearance at Sag Harbor Elememtary School from now on.
