Sag Harbor Kindergartners Collect Bottle Tops To Help Kids Far Away

The students need to collect 400 bottle tops to help create a bench for underprivileged kids in Michigan, the Sag Harbor district said.

SAG HARBOR, NY — Even the smallest of children can learn how to give back in a big way at an early age.

Sag Harbor Elementary School kindergartners in Nina Landi’s class have been working to collect bottle tops as part of a community service project that will result in the construction of a recycled bottle top bench for an underprivileged school in Michigan, the district said.

Students need to collect 400 lbs. of bottle tops; so far, they have garnered 100 lbs.
