“I offer my congratulations to the officers-elect and gratefully acknowledge Lion Ernest Schade who has presided over this club for nine years after succeeding the late Russell Hall in 2007. Lion Ernest will now fulfill the office of Immediate Past President in which he will continue as an ex-officio member of the Board of Directors and I’m asking his help becoming our ambassador to the other clubs in our North and South Fork Zone and to District 20-S Suffolk County. As a service club, we are looking forward to a new generation of Lions growing our club membership and serving our community. With that in mind, I’d like to welcome a first time officer Jonathan Glynn who is becoming the Membership Chair. We have a superb blend of adroit members who are looking forward to working alongside the newer members as Lions International enters a second century of service. We’ll be celebrating the Club's Centennial beginning in July 2016.”

A quorum of Lions members were present for the election night dinner meeting as well as spouses and companions. Also present were several other guests of the club: Mr. Newt Wilford from the Bridgehampton Lions, Ms. Evelyn Ramunno, Exec. Director of the Sag Harbor Community Food Pantry and the guest speakers for the evening, Mr. Tom Holdsworth, Vice President, and an Assistant, Ms. Chloe Scheuch from Time for Teens in Southampton. Tom spoke about their mission with the needs of teens dealing with bereavement and loss through education and counseling. Chloe shared her experience with bereavement and how the organization helped her through her painful experience. Both of them answered questions by the members after their presentation.
