Sag Harbor Man Charged With DWI After Christmas Eve Accident: Cops
The driver of the other car was hospitalized.

A Sag Harbor man was arrested on a DWI charge after an accident that injured one person in Southampton on the night of Christmas Eve, according to Southampton Town Police.
Police responded to a report of a car accident with injuries at the intersection of County Road 39 and Tuckahoe Road at about 9:57 p.m.
Upon arrival, police interviewed 42-year-old Jeffrey Gell and determined he was driving one of the involved cars while he was drunk, according to police.

The driver of the other car was transported to Southampton Hospital by Southampton Volunteer Ambulance and treated for non-life threatening injuries, police said.
Gell was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and several traffic infractions, police said.

He was held overnight for morning arraignment.
