Sag Harbor Named 1 Of Top 20 Places To Go In 2019: Money

SAG HARBOR, NY — It's a fact of life locals have long know to be true: Sag Harbor is flat out a little piece of heaven.

And now Money has named Sag Harbor one of "The 20 Top Places To Go In 2019." Money, for the fourth year, ranked destinations that offer the best value, that are "mindful of both your wanderlust and your wallet," the post said.

Sag Harbor ranks #6 on the list of U.S. destinations; the list also includes Jekyll Island, GA, at #1 and spots including Las Cruces, NM, Los Angeles, CA and Stowe, VT.

Of Sag Harbor, Money said: "With flight prices down 20% from last year and hotels down 42%, this relatively quiet Hamptons town is ready for visitors."

Internationally, Money recommended vacation spots including Meknes, Morocco at #1, Crete, Greece at #8, Montreal, Canada at #4 and Havana, Cuba at #3.

The vote drew enthusiastic applause from locals, with groups including Shop Sag Harbor claiming boasting rights to a natural treasure right on the East End.
