Sag Harbor Residents Pass School Budget, Okay Purchase of Stella Maris

Chris Tice and Susan Lamontagne won seats on the Sag Harbor Board of Education.

SAG HARBOR, NY - Sag Harbor Residents passed a $38, 773, 988.64 budget by a wide margin Tuesday.

The vote passed 997 to 328; the budget reflects a 3.25 percent budget to budget increase and a 2.98 percent tax levy increase.

Voters also passed a proposition to purchase the former Stella Maris School and and to construct various improvements, for an amount not to exceed $10,233,500.

Four candidates vied for two seats on the Sag Harbor Board of Education, with incumbent Chris Tice the top vote getter at 738 and Susan Lamontagne winning the second seat with 645 votes.
