Sag Harbor Students Score At Long Island Math Fair

SAG HARBOR, NY — Juniors at Pierson High School were spotlighted recently for their math skills.

Pierson juniors received awards at Long Island Math Fair. Isabelle Caplin, Justin Gardiner and Chad Federico participated in the fair, held at Hofstra University on April 28, where they competed against other juniors from Nassau and Suffolk counties.

Federico was awarded a silver medal for his paper and presentation on baseball statistics and Gardiner was awarded a gold medal for his project on pseudorandom number generation, the district said.
