Sag Harbor Woman Charged With Menacing Former Employee: Police
She threatened her with a knife and a mop handle and broke her cell phone, police say.
SAG HARBOR, NY — A Sag Harbor woman was arrested after she was accused of menacing a former employee, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, on Tuesday, the woman, 43, was arrested at her home. The arrest stemmed from a July 31 incident where the woman menaced her former employee with a knife and mop handle, police said.
The woman and the former employee had been arguing over payment owed when the incident escalated; she forcefully and unlawfully threw out the former employee from the home, breaking her cell phone, police said.

She was arrested and charged with two counts of second-degree menacing; third-degree criminal mischief; and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, police said.
She will be arraigned at Southampton Town Justice Court, police said.
