Sag Harbor's 5th Annual HarborFrost to Take Place This Weekend

Sag Harbor’s 5th annual HarborFrost, a weekend celebration full of activities and events throughout the village, will kick off starting on Friday, Feb. 27.

- Yankee Doodle Circus, Pierson High School gym at 5:15 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Advanced adult tickets are $14.75, plus two free tickets for children and teens (available at GetCircusTickets.com). $18 at the door, $6 for children. All proceeds will go towards the Student Scholarship Fund.
- Third Annual Frost Ball, Muse in the Harbor from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event will feature DJ Twilo, an open bar and unlimited hors d’oeuvres. Cocktail attire is suggested. Tickets are $65 for Sag Harbor Chamber of Commerce members, $75 for non members. For more information and tickets at 631-918-3097.
On Saturday, Feb. 28
- Ice Carving by Fear No Ice, Civil War Monument on Main Street starting at noon. The award-winning Fear No Ice, the extreme performance art ice sculpting company, will return to HarborFrost to carve beautiful ice sculptures for the fifth year. There will be a second demonstration at 2 p.m. on Long Wharf.
- Live Music with Gregg Galavotti, Harbor Books starting at 12: 30 p.m. Greeg Galavotti is a multi-instrumentalist who plays guitar, bass and drums, but has always considered himself a singer and songwriter first.
- Culinary Stroll, starting at II Capuccino from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Guests can sample some of Sag Harbor’s finest foods on this casual stroll through the village sponsored by the Sag Harbor Hysterical Society. The tour starts at Il Capuccino with stops along the way at Page at 63 Main, The Cuddy and LT Burger. Tickets are $45 and includes dining specialties at each stop, with entertainment along the way provided by local rockers
- Anna and Elsa from Frozen, Sag Harbor Variety starting at 1 p.m. Guests can come say hello to the characters from the popular Disney movie, Frozen.
- Baked Good, Coffee and Hot Chocolate, Long Wharf starting at 1 p.m. Pierson High School’s Robotics Team 28 will host a bake sale to raise money for their competition at Hofstra University in March. They will be selling cookies, cupcakes, scones, breads and pies. Also, Sag Town Coffee will be selling hot beverages and other tasty treats.
- Arts and Crafts Fair, Dodds and Eder starting at 1 p.m. The Wharf Shop, The Rainbow School and Sag Harbor Youth Committee will be hosting table games, snowflake decorating and other arts and crafts projects for children. There will also be live music.
- Live Music with Leroy Klavis, The Corner Bar starting at 1:30 p.m. Singer/ songwriter Leroy Klavis will reprise some of popular favorites, as well as new originals.
- Live Music with Alfredo Merat, La Maisonette starting at 2:30 p.m. Alfredo Merat was born in Madrid, Spain and raised in Bordeaux, France. He is a self taught and ear-trained musician. His band, Europa Jam Sessions has been very popular in the Hamptons. He will be joined by Carl Obrig on saxophone.
- Live Music with Ludmilla Brasil, Muse in the Harbor starting at 3 p.m. Ludmilla is a Brazilian musician who has been playing for the past 20 years and has worked with renowned MPB (Musica Popular Brasileira) artists worldwide.
- Live Music with Robert Bruey, Grenning Gallery starting at 3:30 p.m. Bruey is known for his unique fingerstyle guitar playing and earthy soulful voice. He will be accompanied by Dana Bruey for this special performance.
- Live Music with Jake Lear, Buddhaberry starting at 4:30 p.m. Lear, who was born in Vermont, was raised on Blues and country music and spent the last three years playing to thousands on Memphis’ renowned Beale Street.
- Open House, Breakwater Yacht Club from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Guests can come see all that the Breakwater Yacht Club has to offer with a HarborFrost Open House at Sag Harbor’s own community sailing center. Discover membership options, meet members and staff and enjoy the HarborFrost Fireworks display over the harbor.
- Fiery Sensations Fire Dancers, Long Wharf starting at 5:45 p.m. As the sun begins to set, The Fiery Sensations will perform their show at Windmill Beach near Long Wharf.
- Fireworks by Grucci, Long Wharf starting at 6:15 p.m. The world-renowned pyrotechnic artists are back in Sag Harbor again this year to light up the sky with their unique fireworks display.
- Spaghetti Dinner, Old Whalers’ Church from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Dinner is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and children under 12. Wine and delivery available for an extra charge. For more information call 631-725-0894.
- HarborFrost All-Star Comedy Show, Bay Street Theater starting at 8 p.m. Host Joseph Vecsey (The Call Back Podcast) is known for hosting this show at Bay Street Theater for the past three years. Other comics for the evening include Corinne Fisher (Guys We F*****), Regina DeCicco (Gotham AXS TV) and Chris Clarke (BET Comic View). Tickets cost $20.

- Pancake Breakfast, Sag Harbor Firehouse on Brickiln Road from 8 a.m. to noon. The breakfast will help to benefit the department’s junior squad. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children.
- Hike for HarborFrost, Mashashimuet Park starting at 10 a.m. After breakfast meet at Mashashimuet Park for an easy-paced two-mile hike. See Round Pond and Fore and Aft Pond and take a walk on the old railroad spur trail used long ago to transport ice from the ponds to New York City and Sag Harbor. Sponsored by Friends of the Long Pond Greenbelt.
