On Tuesday, May 20th, Tuckahoe’s pre-kindergarten classes hosted their annual Eric Carle museum for all family, friends, and community members. During this event, student work was on display illustrating the month long, in-depth author study of Eric Carle that the pre-kindergarten has been conducting for the past several weeks. Students also participated in a musical performance of "Today Is Monday", one of the books that Eric Carle famously illustrated. Tuckahoe 5th grade Character Education students wrote an honest compliment about each student in their class. Compliments were distributed and each student enjoyed seeing the compliments written about them. Then, Ms. Verdeschi taught them how to use their compliments to create a personal word cloud using Tagxedo. Best of all, students emailed their word clouds to parents, grandparents and other special family members!
