SOUTHAMPTON, NY — Police are searching for the driver of a vehicle that fled a Southampton golf course, damaging property, in June.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Southampton Town Police Department detectives said they are asking for the public’s help to identify and locate the driver of a 2007 gray, four-door Acura with Florida plates HEAE90. The driver of the vehicle fled, crashing through two security gates at the Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, located at 200 Tuckahoe Road, on June 3, police said.

The vehicle was found abandoned and burned on the Shinnecock Reservation on June 11, police said.
