Search On For Man Who Possibly Brandished Pistol In Hamptons: PD
He had what appeared to be a pistol in his waistband and was seen with a large dog, police say.
NOYAC, NY — The search is on for a man with a dog who may have had a firearm in Noyac Monday, police said.
Southampton Town police said they responded to a home in the Bay View Oaks area; the caller told police that at about 6:30 a.m., he found a man standing on his back porch with a large dog, police said.
When confronted, the man removed what appeared to be a large pistol from his waistband, and after a brief verbal exchange left in an unknown direction, police said.

The man is described as a white male, about 5-feet, 8-inches in height, in his 20s, police said. At the time of the incident, he was wearing gray pants and a long-sleeved gray shirt; the dog is described as a tan Mastiff or pit bull-type dog, police said.
