Shots Fired On Shinnecock Reservation, Man Arrested: Police
The man is accused of intentionally crashing into another vehicle and then firing shots, police say.
SOUTHAMPTON, NY— A man was arrested after he fired shots on the Shinnecock Reservation Sunday, police said.
According to New York State Police, the incident took place at 4 a.m.; troopers responded to a call regarding a two-car collision and shots fired on the reservation.
Mitchell Williams, 40, who lives on the reservation, intentionally hit another person's car with his vehicle and then fired shots with a stolen shotgun, police said.

Williams was arrested and charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, a felony; third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony; second-degree criminal mischief, a felony; fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a felony; second-degree menacing, a misdemeanor; and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor, police said.
Williams was arraigned in Southampton Town Justice Court and released, police said.
