Sink Your Teeth into Foody's Slow-Roasted Pulled Pork

When you think of restaurant in Water Mill, pizza or pasta may come to mind. It is so much more than that. Recently, while there for lunch the friendly lady behind the counter suggested the pulled pork sandwich. Having almost tried everything else on the menu, I agreed to give it a try. Something that has been slow cooked for nine hours over a wood burning grill has to be good, right? What a sandwich it is.

The Dish: Pulled pork sandwich ($14) served with fries and cole slaw and BBQ sauce on the side.

What's Inside?: Slow-roasted, tender and juicy pork, roasted for nine hours, stuffed between a soft Brioche bun.

How's it Taste?: The pork is seasoned to perfection. There is a wonderful smoky flavor that is not overpowering. The BBQ sauce adds a nice contrast of sweet to the sandwich and the bun adds a nice texture to the sandwich bringing the whole sandwich together. For some added crunch, layer the cole slaw on top to reach pure nirvana.

Foody's does offer a wide range of meals from pizza to their grilled vegetable tower. Almost all of the food is prepared on their wood burning grill and offers a wonderful smoky flavor to complement the natural flavors of whatever you choose to dine on. The restaurant purchases the majority of their products locally at the farms we drive by everyday.
