Southampton High School Scholar Atheletes Honored

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — Southampton High School athletes have made their hometown proud: All of Southampton High School’s fall varsity sports teams have earned the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Scholar-Athlete team award, the district said Thursday.

To earn the recognition, 75 percent of the team’s members were required to earn a GPA above 90 percent, the district explained. Southampton is among 124 schools to receive the honor.

The Southampton School District congratulated the following teams on achieving the accompishment: boys cross-country, girls cross-country, varsity boys soccer, varsity girls soccer, varsity field hockey, varsity boys golf, varsity girls volleyball and varsity girls tennis.
