Southampton Police Honored By Mothers Against Drunk Driving
Southampton Town Police were honored at MADD's Recognition of Excellence award ceremony.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — Southampton Town Police were honored recently by Mothers Against Drunk Driving for their fight to keep the community safe.
On Tuesday, Southampton Town Police Chief James Kiernan and Police Officer Keith Phillips were honored in Albany, where they attended MADD’s Recognition of Excellence award ceremony.
Phillips was recognized for his work as a drug recognition expert; Sgt. Nicholas Badagliacca was also honored for his diligence in keeping Southampton Town safe through his driving while intoxicated enforcement, the department said.

Chief Kiernan was presented with an award for the Southampton Town Police Department, which was named “Department of the Year” for the continued efforts and enforcement to protect the community from drunk and drugged driving, officials said.
"Congratulations to P.O. Phillips and Sgt. Badagliacca as well as Chief Kiernan and all the members of the Southampton Town Police Department!" police said.
