SOUTHAMPTON, NY— The Southampton School District's board of education is weighing the purchase of a new building.

According to the district, at the March 22 BOE meeting, a presentation will be given on the potential purchase of a building located at 300-310 Hampton Road to be used as a centralized district office and resource center at no additional cost to taxpayers.

If given the green light by the board, the community will then have an opportunity to vote on the purchase as a proposition during the May 17 school budget vote and trustee election, the district said.
