Southampton Schools to Reopen Friday

Southampton School District announced they plan to hold a regular school day on Friday, Jan. 30 after students missed four days of school after the blizzard.

However, the district warns parents and students that parking and student drop-off will be a challenge.

“We strongly urge all students to use district bus transportation,” a message on the Southampton School District Information Facebook page reads. “Please be advised that due to the lack of available parking, SHS students will not be permitted to drive to school tomorrow.”

Parents planning to drop off their child to any Southampton schools, are advised that the process will be impeded by narrow roadways and excessive snow piles and asked to plan accordingly.
