State Police Report: Possession of Hypodermic Instrument, Controlled Substance

A list of recent crime activity as reported by the state police.

State Police-Riverside reported the following arrests over the past week:

  • A 33-year-old Riverhead woman was arrested on Sept. 1 and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree and aggravated unlicensed operation in the second degree after being stopped on Osborne Avenue in Riverhead for traffic violations. She was released on appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Riverhead Court on Sept. 10.
  • A 29-year-old Wildwood, Fl. man was arrested for possession of a hypodermic instrument and a 60-year-old Riverhead man was arrested criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree after being stopped on Wilson Avenue in Riverhead for a traffic violation on Sept. 3. Both men were released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Riverhead Court on Sept. 10.
  • A 24-year-old Hampton Bays man was arrested on Sept. 6 for three counts of criminal mischief in the third degree, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct following a report of a disorderly subject at the Hampton Bays Diner. He was held for arraignment on Sept. 7 at the Southampton Town Court.
