Stony Brook Southampton Hospital Rolls Out New Version Of 'House Calls'

Home visits are good news for those too ill to travel to the doctor.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — The old-fashioned house call is making a comeback at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital.

With support from the Balm Foundation, the hospital has kicked off a community-based palliative care program, providing home visits for patients who are suffering from life-threatening or chronic debilitating diseases and are too sick to make the trip to the doctor's office.

According to SBSH, patients enrolled can receive free services.
