Teen Charged With Fleeing Police: Cops

She led authorities on a pursuit after driving without a license plate, police say.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — A teen was arrested after she led police on a pursuit recently, authorities said.

According to New York State Police, on March 4 at 10:25 p.m., Neepoh Hill, 18, of the Shinnecock Indian Reservation, was driving south on Tuckahoe Lane north of Montauk Highway in Southampton when a New York State Trooper attempted to stop her vehicle for not having any license plate.

She failed to stop, unlawfully fled from the trooper, and the pursuit was discontinued, police said.

Upon further investigation, the vehicle was located on March 5, and, after subsequent verbal admissions, Hill was arrested and charged with third degree unlawful fleeing and numerous vehicle and traffic violations; she is due back in Southampton Justice Court on March 27, police said.
