Thief Used Victim's Credit Card To Steal $1,500: Police

BREAKING: The thief used the credit card to steal cash from three separate ATMs in Suffolk County, Nassau County, and Queens, police said.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — The search is on for a thief who used a stolen credit card to withdraw $1,500 in cash from three different ATMs, police said.

The suspect is facing a grand larceny charge, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Southampton Town Police detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the person or people who stole money from a victim in Southampton, authorities said.

The Southampton resident’s credit card number was used to steal $1,500 from the victim at three different ATM locations in Suffolk County, Nassau County and Queens, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
