Town Officials Vote to Purchase Historic Southampton Village Property
The Town voted unanimously during a meeting earlier this month.

Members of the Southampton Town Board have unanimously voted to buy the property in Southampton Village which held the home 19th century home of local freed slave, whaler and ferryman Pyrrhus Concer, according to a Newsday report.
The property is located on 51 Pond Lane and will be purchased by the board for $4.3 million, according to the report.
The Town Board voted at the meeting earlier this month to purchase the property, which is currently vacant after the home was demolished last year and the property was put on the market for $5 million, to reconstruct a replica of the historic home, according to the report.
