The proposal would give National Grid control over available community solar resources, decrease competition, and erode consumer protections. It would block municipally led consumer energy programs (programs like Community Choice Aggregation) and local leaders the power to procure and negotiate renewable energy sources on behalf of their constituents. Under this plan, if local leaders want to offer community solar to residents, they’ll need to get approval from National Grid first!

Speak up to keep the community in community solar, take action here by Sunday, August 22.
