Traffic Stop Leads To Arrest For Man Found With Cocaine, Driving Under Influence Of Alcohol: Police
He was arrested early Thursday in Hampton Bays and is facing a felony charge, police say.
HAMPTON BAYS, NY — A Southampton man was arrested after he was found in possession of cocaine and driving under the influence of alcohol, police said.
According to Southampton Town police, the incident took place Thursday at 4:10 a.m.; a patrol officer conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle traveling on East Montauk Highway in the vicinity of Canoe Place Road in Hampton Bays, police said.
Seven Smith, 22, was arrested and charged with one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony; operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, a misdemeanor; and multiple violations of New York State vehicle and traffic law, police said.

He was held for morning arraignment at Southampton Town Justice Court, police said.
