Truck Hits Tree In Rollover Crash: Cops

One minor injury was reported in the crash, which left the eastbound lane closed Monday, police say.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — A driver in a pickup truck hit a tree during a rollover crash in Southampton Monday, police said.

According to Southampton Police Lt. Susan Ralph, the crash, which took place just after 2 p.m. on County Rd. 39 near Inlet Rd., involved a single vehicle, an F-350 pickup truck, which hit the tree, causing the tree to fall into the roadway.

County Rd. 39 was closed eastbound after the crash; the Southampton Fire Department was on the scene and the Southampton Town Highway Department was headed to remove the tree, she said
