Undercover Investigation Into Illicit Cannabis Sales Leads To Arrest; Multiple Violations Issued: PD
The investigation was sparked by community complaints, police say.
SOUTHAMPTON, NY — A man was arrested after unlawful sales of cannabis at a local tavern, police said.
On Friday, the Southampton Town Police Department's community response unit, in coordination with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office East End Drug Task Force, the New York State Liquor Authority, Southampton Town Fire marshal and code enforcement, and officers initiated an undercover investigation following community complaints regarding reported illicit cannabis sales at the North Sea Tavern in connection with the Little Beach Harvest Dispensary, police said.
The investigation resulted in one arrest: Taylor Tanis, 30, of Hampton Bays was charged with unlawful sale of cannabis, a penal law violation, police said.

The establishment also received multiple violations, issued by the Southampton Town fire marshal, Southampton Town code enforcement, and the New York State Liquor Authority, police said.
