'Unruly' Teen Charges Toward Police Officer: Cops

Officers were trying to disperse an "unruly crowd" in Southampton, police say.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — An East Quogue teen was arrested when he charged toward an officer, police said.

According to Southampton Village Police, the incident took place on Dec. 29 at 2:22 a.m. when officers were on Jobs Lane, attempting to disperse an "unruly crowd of people;" the 19-year old failed to comply with the directions of officers and at one point, "aggressively charged toward an officer."

He was arrested, charged with disorderly conduct, a violation, processed and held for morning arraignment, police said.
