SAG HARBOR, NY — An effort is underway to help the people of Ukraine — by collecting used suitcases.

Temple Adas Israel in Sag Harbor, according to a post, is "continuing humanitarian efforts to help the good people of Ukraine, many of whom could be our long-lost relatives."

The temple is collecting large, empty suitcases, which will be used to bring supplies to Ukraine. After the supplies are distributed, the empty suitcases will be used by evacuees to carry "whatever they can from their homes," the post said.
